Want to learn more about Lori Romero, the additional projects she worked on, and the legacy she leaves behind? Curious who Romero was and when in relation to Ransom Canyon‘s premiere she died?
Here’s what we know about the late Lori Romero.
Lori Romero, a makeup artist and hair stylist born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, worked with actors of dozens on films and television series over the years. Her IMDb credits date back to 2016 and include titles like The Marksman, The Harder They Fall, End of the Road, Finch, Deadly Illusions, Olmo, and more. While Ransom Canyon isn’t currently listed on her page, a rep for the series confirmed that Romero worked on it and passed away unexpectedly this year on January 1, 2025.
According to Romero’s obituary, “Lori’s talent and specialization in high quality make-up and hair helped create her career with the movie industry. Her film family were a very important part of her life.”
“Lori was known to have the biggest heart. She was everyone’s best friend and was willing to step in to help anyone who needed assistance” the obituary continues. “Her laugh was infectious; when she laughed, everyone else did too.”
Following a quote from the Anne Lindgren Davison poem, “I’m Free,” which reads, “Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don’t lengthen it now with undue grief,” the obituary concludes with an inspiring reminder: “Lori would say ‘party on!'”
Romero’s legacy will live on through the on-screen projects she enhanced with her work, the many lives she touched personally and professionally, and through Ransom Canyon‘s Season 1’s thoughtful tribute.
Ransom Canyon Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix.
