The Rangers are one win away from the conference finals.

Artemi Panarin scored the game-winner in overtime and the Rangers’ dominance on special teams continued as they killed five penalties and scored a shorthanded goal in a 3-2 victory over Carolina in Raleigh, N.C. to take a 3-0 lead in the second round.

The Rangers have yet to be defeated in this postseason, winning their first seven matches and establishing themselves as Stanley Cup favorites in so doing.

For a second straight game, Carolina came close to doing so — this time via Andrei Svechnikov’s tying goal at 18:24 of the final period — but for a second straight game, the Rangers prevailed in the extra period.
