NextImg:Rangers eyeing top college free agent in Quinnpiac’s Collin Graf

The Rangers are in on arguably the top college free agent.

Quinnipiac junior Collin Graf has caught the attention of the Blueshirts front office at 4 Penn, The Post has learned.

The Bobcat’s leading scorer, who has posted 48 points in 22 games this season, is naturally drawing a lot of interest around the NHL as he wraps up his collegiate career— and the Rangers have been one of several teams keeping tabs on Graf.

Graf, who is a strong candidate for the Hobey Baker Award this season, played an integral role in Quinnipiac capturing its first National Championship last year.

The Massachusetts native memorably assisted on the game-winning goal in the National Semifinal before he scored the game-tying goal with 2:47 left in regulation to force overtime in the title game.

Recording points in 32 of Quinnipiac’s 41 games last season, Graf not only tied the program’s Division I record with 59 points, but he also tied for the NCAA lead with 38 assists.

After such a prolific season, Graf was one of five players invited to the Predators development camp.

The previous summer, he attended the Panthers’ prospect camp.

Graf is averaging 1.55 points per game this season for the Bobcats, who advanced to the semifinals in Lake Placid, New York with a 5-2 win over RPI on Sunday.
