It’s safe to say Randall Cobb’s family is excited about their next chapter in New York.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Cobb’s wife, Aiyda, shared celebratory posts after the veteran wide receiver agreed to a one-year deal with the Jets, reuniting him with his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
Aiyda, who has been married to Cobb since 2017, posted a pair of heart-eyed cat emojis alongside a video of the former Pro Bowler, who expressed how “excited” he is to be a member of the Jets.
She shared a separate clip on her Stories that featured Cobb, 32, and Rodgers, 39, walking off the field together in January in what would be their final time as members of the Packers.
The Jets made the blockbuster trade for Rodgers last week after negotiations with the Packers revved up again ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The same day the Jets landed Rodgers, a workout video also appeared on Cobb’s Instagram page — something that didn’t go unnoticed by new Jets receiver Allen Lazard.
“Bruh saw the trade go through and got right to it,” said Lazard, who was teammates with Cobb in Green Bay.
Cobb began his NFL career with the Packers in 2011 when he was drafted 64th overall.
He played in Green Bay through the 2018 season and then signed with the Cowboys on a one-year deal.
Cobb joined the Texans in 2020 and was traded back to the Packers the following year.
In his final season with Green Bay, Cobb recorded 34 receptions for 417 yards and a touchdown through 13 regular-season games.
Cobb now joins a stacked Jets receiving corps that also includes Lazard, 27, and Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson.
He and Aiyda, who is a patent lawyer, have two children together.
