Perhaps Jets brass took notice of Randall Cobb’s workout video, after all.
The former Packers wide receiver is expected to agree to a one-year deal with the Jets, reuniting him with former Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday morning.
The 32-year-old Cobb was originally drafted by the Packers in 2011 and remained with the team through 2018.
He had separate stints with the Cowboys and Texans before returning to Green Bay in 2021.
Rodgers and Cobb are close friends off the field.
Cobb played in 13 regular-season games last year, amassing 34 receptions for 417 yards and one touchdown.
As chatter intensified regarding Rodgers’ future in New York, it was speculated Cobb could make the move east, too.
Prior to the Jets’ franchise-altering trade for Rodgers last week, the team signed former Packers wideout Allen Lazard to a four-year deal in March.
