Legendary musician and producer Quincy Jones was rushed to the hospital after a bad food reaction.
Jones suffered a medical emergency in his home after having a bad reaction to some food he ate, according to TMZ.
He felt that his condition was serious enough that he called 911 out of an “abundance of caution.”
Fortunately, it seems as though everything is going to be fine.
Paramedics had arrived at Quincy’s Los Angeles home Saturday afternoon and transported him to the emergency room to receive medical care.
Soon after arriving, Quincy was given the all-clear by doctors and released from the hospital. A rep for the 90-year-old icon noted that he never lost consciousness and was in “great spirits” after all was said and done.
The family of the 28-time Grammy winner were relieved once they heard he was doing ok.
Jones was featured in a 2018 documentary on Netflix titled Quincy, which was co-written and co-directed by his daughter, the actor Rashida Jones. The film, which is currently available to stream, chronicles his life and career.
