Look what you made him do.
A flight attendant on Australia’s Qantas Airways had the whole plane doing a Taylor Swift sing along.
In a viral video shared by former Channel Seven sports TV host Jacqui Felgate, Paul, the cabin crew member, was shown inviting passengers to sing along to Swift’s hit song “Cruel Summer,” from her 2019 album, “Lover.”
In the video, Paul asks if everyone knows the song. As passengers began chiming in, Paul conducted and danced.
“That was good. But this front section is going to outdo you I think,” he said, and then went to conduct the next cabin area.
In Felgate’s instagram comments on the video, viewers said, “Give the man a rise,” referring to Paul.
“Best thing to happen for Qantas in quite a while,” another viewer proclaimed.
“He’s an icon!!!!!” another person wrote.
The Qantas account responded: “Paul deserves his own concert!”
Paul may have conducted the impromptu concert just for fun as a Swiftie, but the real pop star touched down in his location shortly after.
After Taylor Swift, 34, took a whirlwind jaunt from her concert in Tokyo to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas – where she chugged beer and watched her Kansas City Chiefs player boyfriend, Travis Kelce, 34 win a tense game that went into overtime – she then jetted off again, to Melbourne, Australia.
Because the flight is so long, she missed Valentine’s Day with Kelce. But after he won the Super Bowl, she reportedly said to him, “You are so magical. I’ve never been so proud in my life. I can’t believe you. How did you do that? How did you do it?”
She flew on the luxurious private jet, the Bombardier Global 6000, which has been the subject of controversy and scrutiny: fans have tracked her flights, and she’s also gotten criticism for the carbon emissions from her globe-trotting.
Swift has threatened to take legal action against the Florida college student who runs social media accounts tracking her and other celebrities’ private jets — calling the issue a matter of “life or death.”
The college student, Jack Sweeney, 21, told The Washington Post, “Nowhere do I intend to harm. I actually think Swift has some good songs. I believe in transparency and public information.”
Her hit Eras Tour’s next stop is Down Under, where she’ll perform seven sold-out shows. More than 600,000 tickets have reportedly been sold for her upcoming concerts in Australia.
