Drew Scott and his wife, Linda Phan, are officially parents of two.
The couple announced the arrival of their second child, a daughter, on Instagram Wednesday alongside a photo of the little one’s tiny hands and feet.
“Our family of 3 has become 4!” they wrote in a joint post. “Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart ❤️.”
The pair, who are already parents to 2-year-old son Parker, revealed on their website that Piper was actually born on May 21.
“We are over the moon,” the “Property Brothers” star said. “Piper is healthy, Linda is healthy and seeing Parker excited to be a big brother is adorable.”
The reality TV star said their son has been “curious, helpful and maybe a little jealous” of his new sibling.
“We got him his own baby doll so he can take care of his baby while we take care of ours,” the HGTV star joked.
Although the pair have had two years of navigating parenthood, Scott said he has no idea what to expect as a girl dad.
“It’s actually quite funny, I get a lot of mixed advice about being a girl dad,” he said. “Some people say that it’s the best thing, and others are warning me to look out. All I know is I am excited to experience whatever is to come with Piper.”
However, Piper has already proved to be a bit more of a handful than her older brother.
“I was proud that in the past two years, Parker had never peed on me while changing him,” he explained. “Piper has already peed on me twice!”
The couple also revealed most of their family — including twin brother Jonathan and fiancée Zooey Deschanel — has already met their little girl.
Drew, 46, and Phan, 39, announced they were expecting in January by sharing a photo of Parker touching his mom’s growing baby bump.
“Round 2???? I hope Parker’s ready for a lil company❤️❤️,” they wrote on Instagram at the time.
Although the couple conceived Parker with the help of in vitro fertilization, they were shocked to get pregnant naturally the second time around.
Drew recently told Today they were planning to visit their fertility endocrinologist last year when his wife started to feel “super bloated.”
“She did four pregnancy tests and they were all positive. So we checked in (with the doctor), and she was over three months pregnant,” he explained.
Drew said the “mind-blowing” discovery didn’t feel like it was a possibility for the couple after struggling to get pregnant on their own for so many years.
“Any signs that could potentially be a ‘you’re pregnant’ sign, you just throw out the window, because you’ve been told that’s not possible,” he said. “I mean, it’s actually kind of amazing.”
The pair have been married since 2018.
