So the governor of Illinois and the mayor of Chicago seem to want their state and city to be ICE-free and a pure sanctuary heaven for illegal criminals (“Chicago on ‘brink’ ” Oct. 10).
JB Pritzker, what a great idea. Please continue with your brain-dead plan. In fact, why not have your family business take in all the illegal criminals if you have enough rooms. I guess being born with a silver spoon in your mouth allows you to have no common sense.

The Trump administration has widely shared its concern over the chaos in numerous cities, citing it as justifying military intervention.
For most folks, it is hard to grasp the situation in cities other than their own. But if you look up “(city name) live webcams,” for any major city, this will show many cameras displaying in real time what is going on in the important neighborhoods.
These cameras are, obviously, politically neutral. You can see for yourself just how bad it is. Then decide what to believe.

It is obvious that Democrats’ policies such as no-bail laws have had a negative impact on every person living in those cities to some extent. But it is a well-known fact that the majority of victims of these crimes are black Americans living in those cities.
We know the Democrats support the Black Lives Matter movement, and bringing the National Guard into cities like Chicago could reduce crime (as proven by the success of Trump’s actions in Washington, DC).
So who could benefit the most from Trump’s actions? Obviously, the black communities in those cities, which means fewer black victims of shootings, robberies, and assaults. Yet all of the Democratic leaders of the crime-ridden cities are vehemently against Trump coming to help.
So the question is: Who is really concerned for black lives — Trump or the Democrats?

Pritzker’s hate for Trump is over the top. He’d sooner cut off his nose to spite his face than accept the well-needed help to protect Chicagoans. Instead, he continues to incite violence against ICE agents as rioting gets out of control.
When the left doesn’t get their way, they resort to violence. We need look no farther than Chicago to watch it all play out.

Jonathan Rinderknecht, the man accused of setting those fires that devastated California is a very sick mentally-disturbed man (“Face from hell,” Oct. 10).
If he did this terrible thing, it’s unforgivable. I know some people who lost everything in those fires. It will take years for the people who were affected by these fires to get their lives and homes back together, if they ever can.
Given the way the California justice system is, I just hope the courts show no leniency for this man.

In the wake of the California wildfire disaster, public officials there blamed climate change.
Now we know it was allegedly caused by a Democrat donor arsonist. Will any commentator acknowledge the previous error? Probably not.

After months of intense investigation, the police arrested Jonathan Rinderknecht for starting the Palisades fires that devastated Southern California earlier this year.
I wonder if routine interrogation also revealed that Rinderknecht’s real name is “Climb Atchange.” Then CNN, MSNBC and The New York Times could claim vindication since they said from the very beginning that “Climb Atchange” was responsible for the devastating fires.
