Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest son’s presence at King Charles III’s upcoming coronation is still up in the air.
Prince Louis may not attend the May 6 ceremony due to his behavior at past events, a palace source exclusively tells Page Six.
The insider adds, “He’s only 4 after all.”
However, the little one’s older sister, Princess Charlotte, will be in attendance, the palace source says.
As for Prince George, the 9-year-old was named in the official invitation as one of the monarch’s page boys.
An official Buckingham Palace spokesperson tells us, “The Prince and Princess of Wales will make a decision on Prince Louis’ attendance closer to the time.”
Louis infamously made headlines in June 2022 for the funny faces he made on the balcony at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Not only did the young royal cover his ears and scream during the Trooping the Colour flypast, but he stuck his tongue out at his mom at the pageant three days later.
Louis’ uncle Mike Tindall blamed his antics on a “complete sugar high” at the time telling “The Good, the Bad & the Rugby” podcast listeners that his nephew ate “a lot of sweets.”
The retired athlete, 44, noted, “It’s tough for the [kids to sit there]. They’re all young. It’s a long time.”
Louis isn’t the only royal family member whose presence at next month’s event is still uncertain.
While a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed last month that the California-based couple have been invited, they have yet to publicly accept or deny the offer.
“Whatever happens, Harry and Meghan will always be the ones in the headlines,” a source told us in March. “They do hold the upper hand.”
The duo, who resigned from their royal roles in 2021, attended last year’s Jubilee with their two children — son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also attended Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022 without their kids.
Notably, Louis did not attend the late sovereign’s service alongside his older siblings.
