This might strike a chord.

The same gospel choir that performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding sang at King Charles III’s coronation ceremony in London on Saturday.

The Ascension Choir, a group of eight handpicked singers from the Southeast England-based Christian gospel group Kingdom Choir, performed during the historic occasion at Westminster Abbey.

The octet, led by Abimbola Amoako-Gyampah, sang “Alleluia (O Sing Praises)” by composer Debbie Wiseman.

Charles, 74, was heavily involved in the commissioning process and music plans for the event. His decision to have the Ascension Choir included in the ceremony marks the first time in British history that a gospel group has performed for a coronation at Westminster Abbey.

The singers may have looked familiar to Harry — who was relegated to the third row at the service — considering the same choir performed during his wedding to Markle in 2018.

The Kingdom Choir famously sang a rendition of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nuptials at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

At the time, it was believed that Harry and Markle had invited the group to perform, but the choir’s conductor later told the Telegraph, “Actually it came from Prince Charles. He’s the one who loves gospel.”

Harry, 38, had to take in Saturday’s moving performance without his wife by his side, as Markle, 41, decided to skip the ceremony and remain in California with their two kids: Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 1.

As Page Six reported, the “Suits” alum stayed in the United States to celebrate Archie’s 4th birthday, which also falls on Saturday. Harry will fly back to America after his dad’s ceremony to make it back in time to join in on his son’s birthday festivities.

Harry was seen walking into the ceremony solo, entering at the same time as his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew and the Duke of York’s two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, did not make the star-studded guest list, instead holding her own celebrations for the momentous day.

Meanwhile, Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, arrived alongside their younger children Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, behind the king following the procession from Buckingham Palace.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ eldest child, 9-year-old Prince George, walked into the event with Charles and Queen Camilla, 75, as one of the king’s pages of honor.
