The “Princess of Montecito” might be getting a new title.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — who currently reside in a $14 million Montecito, Calif., mansion — have reportedly been shopping for a new home in the neighboring Malibu.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex toured an $8 million plot of land in the ritzy beach city known for its celebrity residents over Labor Day weekend, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Sources told the website that Harry and Markle looked at a nearly six-acre property that is still under construction but already has a guardhouse and a massive swimming pool.
The foundation is reportedly laid for a secluded 10,000-square-foot main residence, which will be gated and has a 360-degree view of Broad Beach.
The outlet reported that the asking price is $8 million, but construction costs to build a home on the lot could add an estimated $10 million on top of that.
Insiders shared with TMZ that the royal couple have plans to sell their Montecito home and relocate to Malibu with their son, Prince Archie, 4, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 2.
They are reportedly drawn to the location because the property is close enough to Hollywood so they can do business but also far enough that they can enjoy privacy.
An award-winning architect’s plans for the home have apparently been approved, and there is already a crew in place to start on the project, according to the property’s real estate agent, Westside Estate Agency’s Brendan Brown.
Reps for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the report.

Harry, 38, and Markle, 42, purchased their nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom 18,000-square-foot manor in Montecito for a staggering $14,650,000 in 2020.
The couple’s current estate features a tennis court, teahouse, children’s cottage, pool and rose gardens as well as a two-bed guesthouse.
The Sussexes moved into the mansion shortly after they both resigned from their positions as senior royals and moved to the United States, where they have since made quite an impression on the locals.
The pair, who wed in 2018, have been rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s elite, and neighbors even dubbed Markle the “Princess of Montecito” last year due to her alleged diva-like behavior in the area.
