Travis Kelce has a full-time gig playing football and being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend—now, he’s adding hosting to his repertoire.
Back in April, Prime Video announced a new game show called Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, hosted by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. The series, a spinoff of Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, will feature contestants that call upon a classroom of celebrities to help them answer trivia questions.
There will be 11 questions that vary across several elementary school subjects. Those who are successful in passing the final question (considered “sixth-grade level”) will win a grand prize of $100,000.
Kelce is not the only star appearance on the series. Special guests will include comedians Nikki Glaser, Nicole Byer, Natasha Leggero and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and actress Lilly Singh.
In the trailer, Kelce, 34, introduces the new series as “a show where you can win ridiculous money just by answering questions about stuff we all learned back in elementary school.” He is seen dancing with guests and relating with one competitor about their shared lack of geography knowledge. Kelce admits his major in school was criminal justice: “If I’m going to go to school, I might as well learn not how to go to jail.”
The new series is premiering amid a busy football season for Kelce. The reigning Super Bowl champ is 4-0 this season, with the Chiefs holding 1st place in the AFC West so far. They will face the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 17.
Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? premieres Oct. 16 on Prime Video.
