Police have returned to the Long Island home of Gilgo Beach murder suspect Rex Heuermann on Monday, according to a new report.

Heuermann’s estranged wife, Asa Ellerup, confirmed that officials had served a search warrant to once again inspect the home of the man suspected of killing four women over a decade ago, News Nation reports.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the renewed search or what police were seeking to find in Heuermann’s home ahead of his looming trial.
