Yuto Moriyasu, a Japanese poker player, was reported missing in Las Vegas on July 2 while in town for the 2025 World Series of Poker, according to their friend Sasa, who asked for help tracking them down on X.

The Las Vegas metropolitan police department confirmed Wednesday to The Post that a missing person’s report was taken for 26-year-old Moriyasu.

“The individual is not considered endangered at this time,” a police spokesperson said.

Sasa explained in a series of tweets that the pair traveled to Las Vegas together and Moriyasu never returned to their Airbnb after a trip to casino — and their passport and wallet were also missing — on July 2.

“My junior colleague went missing in Vegas,” Sasa wrote in Japanese that day. “At noon, they said, ‘I’m heading to (the casino),’ and then went completely silent.

“When I got home in the evening, the car, phone, and their beloved daily sandals were at the house,
but the pouch with their passport and wallet, along with the person themselves, were nowhere to be found. No signs of the house being disturbed.

“It’s an Airbnb, but there were no cameras in the house or car. I checked with neighboring houses too, but none of them had cameras either.”

Moriyasu went missing with his $10,000 buy-in for the WSOP main event, according to Bro Bible.

Sasa said on July 3 they filed a missing person’s report with police, including an image of a receipt.

“We’ve already contacted the local police, consulate, etc., and there’s nothing more we can do at this point,” Sasa said.

“Additionally, there is no record of entry into Japan, and I received a call today stating that the police are currently checking places like hospitals and detention centers where there might be leads. If you have any information, please let me know anything at all.”

Sasa said Wednesday they were “completely stuck without any clues” about Moriyasu’s whereabouts, and has since shared multiple photos of Moriyasu, urging the public to come forward with any information.

The first of four WSOP Main Event starting flights kicked off July 2.
