This exotic ingredient has slithered its way onto a popular pizza.

Pizza Hut and century-old restaurant Ser Wong Fun in Hong Kong have teamed up to offer customers shredded snake meat, along with black mushrooms and Chinese dried ham, CNN reported.

The combination typically makes up a beloved snake skew usually eaten in the winter months.

The 9-inch pizza will also come with abalone sauce – not the typical tomato spread.

“Paired with cheese and diced chicken, the snake meat becomes richer in taste,” Pizza Hut Hong Kong said in a statement before the dish was served up this week, per CNN.

The pizza company noted the “nourishing” meat helps “boost blood circulation.”

“Combined with pizza, it marks a breakthrough from the conventional concept of what maintaining good health means while challenging one’s taste buds,” it added.

The offering will be on sale until November 22.

“The texture is a bit like chicken and tastes like fish and other kinds of seafood,” Hong Kong native Rachel Wong, who enjoys snake soup, told CNN. “So I love having it as a high protein meal during winter.”

Self-described foodie Mabel Sieh found the prospect of eating the snake-filled pizza “scary.”

“Snakes aren’t food in many cultures, especially in the West.” Sieh told CNN.
