Consider Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes a fan of girlfriend Olivia Dunne’s latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot.
When celebrating the launch of the 2024 edition of the iconic publication — its 60th-anniversary issue — the famed LSU gymnast, 21, was asked what Skenes, also 21, thought about her Portugal shoot, where she modeled an array of bikinis and beachwear.
“I’m pretty sure he said, ‘Damn,'” Dunne told SI Swimsuit during a recent red carpet appearance. “He was like, ‘Damn.'”
Dunne, whose relationship with Skenes was confirmed last summer, is making her second appearance in SI Swimsuit following her 2023 debut.
She’s a member of this year’s star-studded rookie class that boasts Jena Sims, the wife of golfer Brooks Koepka, and Brittany Mahomes, who is married to star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Dunne told SI Swimsuit that being featured in the magazine is “a dream come true.”
A college athlete-turned-social media juggernaut, Dunne boasts more than 13 million followers between her Instagram and TikTok pages and has an NIL valuation of $3.9 million, per On3 Sports.
She celebrated the launch of SI Swimsuit’s latest issue in both New York and Florida last week with longtime golf influencer Paige Spiranac, who is also featured in the magazine.
Dunne supported Skenes on Thursday when he tossed six innings of one-run ball in the Pirates’ 7-6 loss to the Giants at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Skenes, the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, struck out seven batters in his major league debut earlier this month.
Dunne’s presence has excited Pittsburgh fans, with a young supporter revealing Thursday that she is one of the two things he likes about Skenes.
“His mustache and Livvy Dunne!” the fan exclaimed in the playful moment.
The Pirates (23-28) host the Braves (29-18) on Friday night.
