Pete Alonso hadn’t ever homered in the All-Star Game — until Tuesday.
The Mets slugger crushed a three-run homer the opposite way off Royals lefty Kris Bubic on Tuesday night in Atlanta to give the National League a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.
With runners on the corners and nobody out, Alonso, a five-time All-Star, smacked a 1-0 pitch 367 feet over the high wall in right at Truist Park.
It marked the first Mets homer in the All-Star Game since David Wright went deep in 2006 in Pittsburgh.
