This town is saying “boo” to a goose – but his owner is having none of it.

A troubled pet lover is locked in a fowl fight with town officials over her forbidden goose — which she claims is her lifeline as an emotional support animal.

Angel Queener bought Blue as a pet about 14 months ago, but has been told it needs to take flight from her hometown of Chariton, whose town ordinance forbids the birds, according to KCCI.

Queener is now trying to register Blue as an emotional support animal. KCCI

But the recovering drug addict says she needs the goose for a long list of emotional issues, telling the outlet that she suffers from “PTSD, bipolar, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive tendencies…”

“He’s the light of my day,” she told KCCI.

Angel Queener said Blue has helped with her mental health issues. KCCI

“Every morning when I wake up and I see his face it just makes my day a thousand times better,” she added, pausing to fight back tears before saying that her goose “has helped me so much.”

She is now trying to get Blue recognized as an official emotional support animal, saying that he has even helped her remain sober and quiet her suicidal thoughts.

Geese are technically not allowed under a local ordinance. KCCI

“Once I got Blue, he saved me from that,” she said.

He means so much, in fact, that Queener would rather fly the coop with Blue than follow town orders and get rid of him

“I would sell my house and move. I can’t get rid of him,” she said.

Geese, however, are prohibited under the Chariton municipal code regarding raising livestock, KCCI said.

The Chariton City Hall said it had not issued a final decision on Queener’s ongoing request to keep Blue, KCCI noted.

The city clerk did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment.
