Another member of the Patriots’ 2024 draft class is heading out the door.

New England traded wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk and a 2028 seventh-round pick to the Saints for a 2027 sixth-round pick on Saturday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

Polk, 23, is on season-ending injured reserve due to a shoulder injury after it was reported that he needed surgery in August.

In his rookie year, Polk had just 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns across 15 games.

The University of Washington product’s departure adds to an already rough-looking 2024 Patriots draft class.

Outside of quarterback Drake Maye, who was taken third overall and has taken over the starting role, the rest of the class has seen major turnover.

Offensive tackle Caelan Wallace (the No. 68 pick) has become a backup guard, while offensive guard Layden Robinson (No. 103), wideout Javon Baker (No. 110) and tight end Jaheim Bell (No. 231) have all been waived.

Defensive back Marcellas Dial (No. 180) is on IR, while quarterback Joe Milton III (No. 193) was traded to the Cowboys in April.

Polk was seen as a potential cut candidate in the Patriots’ big wide receiver room during training camp, but he was instead placed on IR before cut day in late August.

The Patriots face the Dolphins in their Week 2 matchup on Sunday.
