Paige Spiranac won’t be at Lake Tahoe for next week’s American Century Championship, and her explanation is pretty bizarre.
Spiranac, who played in last year’s celebrity golf tournament, claimed she wasn’t invited back because she didn’t fulfill their social media standards in 2022.
“Everyone keeps asking if I’ll be in Tahoe for the celeb tournament this year but unfortunately I didn’t get invited back,” Spiranac wrote on her Instagram Story recently, according to Golf Digest.
“Was told I didn’t give them enough exposure on social media. I guess 4 million impressions wasnt good enough lol. Anyways bummed to miss it!”
The 30-year-old former pro — who now serves as an influencer and content creator — has 3.8 million followers on Instagram; 1.5 million on TikTok; and just under 900,000 on Twitter.
Spiranac currently has more Instagram followers than golf legend Tiger Woods and other top pros, including Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka.
The 34th Annual American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course — which runs through July 12-16 — is headlined by some of the biggest stars, past and present, in sports.
Warriors point guard Steph Curry, Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Jets signal-caller Aaron Rodgers will compete in the event — as well as NBA greats Charles Barkley and Vince Carter.
Spiranac finished T-24 in last year’s tournament.
The golf influencer concluded her message with well wishes to those participating in the 2023 American Century Championship — which has a total purse of $600,000.
“Hope you all have the best time out there,” Spiranac wrote.
The “Playing a Round” podcast host had herself a busy June.
Spiranac threw out the first pitch for the Brewers on Friday, June 16, for a second consecutive year, in Milwaukee’s 5-4 home victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates — and had her own bobblehead.
She also co-hosted a party with LA Golf and teased a future collaboration with the company, which is the creator of the most technologically advanced products in the game.
