Less is more for Paige Spiranac, and she’s citing “science” to back that up.
The longtime golf influencer floated a theory Tuesday about her game, explaining she shoots “lower the less I wear.”
“I want it on record that I wore a golf appropriate outfit today and it didn’t help my score. I shoot lower the less I wear. It’s science,” Spiranac tweeted.
Earlier in the day, Spiranac posted a photo of herself wearing a green patterned top and a matching skirt while playing in the Metropolitan area.
“Made birdie,” she proclaimed in a tweet.
Some of Spiranac’s 900,000-plus Twitter followers weighed in on her wardrobe-centric suggestion Tuesday, with one user quipping: “You can’t argue with science.”
Spiranac’s golf attire has long been part of her social media empire.
The “Playing A Round” podcast host — who boasts nearly 4 million Instagram followers — frequently posts photos of herself on the course, not to mention videos on TikTok, where she can be seen modeling a variety of golf styles.
Though Spiranac’s fashions are often adored by fans, she’s been chastised in the past over her ensembles.
“I’m not refined, I’m raw and real and I wear what I want and I have always been so different and golf is not that way,” Spiranac said on a 2020 episode of her podcast, according to News.com.au.
“It’s an act. I feel like everyone in golf is just playing this part of this perfect golfer when in reality it’s nothing like that.”
Spiranac also detailed how she offered to help a charity but was allegedly declined due to her reputation.
“I wanted to help this charity out and I wanted to give them free golf clubs,” she said. “The guy wrote back and said, ‘We would love to but, because of the way our board members view you, you can’t help out.’
“I want to give back to these kids who don’t have anything, because I grew up not having anything, and I can’t even f–king do that because of my cleavage. We bond over having a common interest and we all love the same thing.”
She launched her own website in 2023, OnlyPaige, which features golf instruction and exclusive content.
Despite the pushback from some, Spiranac’s stock has only continued to rise in recent years.
