It’s a reward for bad behavior.
A fundraiser has collected over $25,000 for disgraced NYC art professor Shellyne Rodriguez, who was recently axed from her third teaching gig in less than a year.
The GoFundMe — whose goal is $30,000 — was launched last May after Rodriguez, 47, was fired from Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts for pulling a machete on Post reporter Reuven Fenton, who was inquiring about her viral freakout on a group of anti-abortion students.
Despite harassment, menacing, and weapons possession charges, she was hired at Cooper Union four months later.
But in January, The Post revealed last week, that Rodriguez was fired for anti-Israel statements.
Since then, donations to her have started trickling in again.
The page had pulled in $25,589 as of Friday.
“This fund is organized by a committee of fellow educators, artists and community organizers who seek to provide material support to help Shellyne recover from the impact of this persecution,” the organizers, “SR Solidarity Committee,” wrote on the site.
The group called it an “injustice” that Rodriguez got canned from Hunter and SVA and blamed it on “right-wing media pressure after a confrontation with a national pro-life organization.”
“CUNY Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts failed to protect and support Shellyne Rodriguez as she became the target of racist and misogynist right-wing harassment and threats which put her life in danger,” the committee claimed.
After threatening to “chop” Fenton with a machete on May 23, Rodriguez followed him and a photographer into the street, swinging the weapon outside her Bronx apartment.
The unhinged assault was caught on video and she lost her job shortly after.
After seven months without any new contributions, one for $100 came in on Jan. 19, the week the new semester started at Cooper Union absent Rodriguez.
Another came in when news of her latest firing broke on Feb. 4.
A $5 donation rolled in on Thursday and another for $25 on Friday.

The GoFundMe was established with Rodriguez’s consent, the committee wrote on the website, and she has a link to it in her Instagram bio.
Fundraisers remain open until organizers turn off donations or remove them entirely, or if 365 days pass with no new activity.
Aside from the financial support, Rodriguez’s comrades are demanding that Cooper Union rehire her.
The Cooper Union Students for Justice in Palestine organized a rally Thursday protesting the “decolonial activist” professor’s firing.
The group said in a post that it was due to her participation in a Jan. 15 CUNY for Palestine forum about “divestment from Israel.”
During the event, Rodriguez spewed antisemitic tropes about Jewish landlords and businessmen and floated the idea of a rent strike.
Rodriguez did not respond to requests for comment and Cooper Union said it does not comment on personnel matters.
