Outlander: Blood of My Blood returns to Starz this week with a brand new episode that might put Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) in more peril than ever before. In this exclusive clip from Outlander: Blood of My Blood Episode 9 “Braemar,” Ellen confides in Mrs. Fitz (Sally Messham) that Malcolm Grant’s (Jhon Lumsden) uncle, Uncle Mac (Simon Merrells), has threatened to kill her in a very creative way if she hurts her betrothed.

“Malcolm’s uncle threatened to rip my heart from my chest if I broke Malcolm’s,” Ellen says.

“He would, the old fiend,” Mrs. Fitz replies. “See that you don’t so much as look at another man at Braemar.”

Ellen then explains why that could be a problem for her.

“And if Brian is there?” she asks, referring to none other than her one true love, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy).

Mrs. Fitz then shuts Ellen’s hopes and dreams down, telling her that she came “within a hair’s breath” of failing last week’s grotesque purity test. As far as Mrs. Fitz is concerned, Ellen needs to put her love for Brian aside and make Malcolm believe she is his, or her life could be forfeit.

The first season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood has told the story of how Outlander hero Jamie Fraser’s (Sam Heughan) own parents met and fell in love. Outlander fans knew that Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser shared a star-crossed romance, but Blood of My Blood deepens the saga by weaving in Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) own time-traveling parents.

With just two episodes to go, Ellen and Brian are handfast to each other, but she is still betrothed to the powerful Malcolm Grant. How will these soulmates ever get to be together? Especially if Malcolm’s own family has threatened to kill Ellen?
