An ousted apartment chairwoman in Melbourne, Australia allegedly sunk her teeth into a worker in a bizarre confrontation that is being investigated by the police.
Shocking footage, published in the Herald Sun, shows Hun-Jing Tiong appearing to bite a staff member as he tried to remove her from an area in Aurora Melbourne Central.
Before the alleged attack, Jing was shown attempting to stuff keys for a number of areas of the high-rise building into her handbag.
Jing appeared to bite the man’s hand during the scuffle, with pictures showing blood on the alleged victim’s hand and forearm.
The Herald Sun reports he received a tetanus jab as a precaution when paramedics attended the scene.
The incident reportedly took place just days after Jing was ousted from the main owners’ corporation committee.
More than 200 owners held a special general meeting in late February, voting to remove the committee.
However, on March 9, Jing allegedly entered a security room in the basement, grabbed keys from the table and attempted to stuff them into a bag where the footage was filmed.
A service provider worker is shown grabbing the bag, and a struggle with Jing ensues before she eventually allegedly bites the worker twice.
According to the Herald Sun, Victoria Police wish to speak with Jing.
“After reviewing the footage and all other evidence of the incident, you have been identified as an offender of an assault,” a letter from Victoria Police to Jing reads.
“I will be preparing a brief of evidence to present to my Sergeant who will determine whether or not charges are authorized and the matter proceeds to court.”
Residents and owners at the Aurora complex reportedly want to see Jing removed from other committees within the building.
“We want her gone for good,” one resident told the Herald Sun.
Residents are fighting a raft of questionable policies in the complex, including a $50 fee for picking up UberEats from reception and fines for filming in the building.
Victoria Police has confirmed it is investigating the footage and “reports of an assault” on that date.
“Investigators have been told that an incident occurred between a male and female in Latrobe Street at about 1 pm,” a police spokesperson said.
“The exact circumstances surround(ing) the incident are yet to be determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.”
