Viewers who haven’t had the chance to tune into Hulu‘s hit series Only Murders in the Building will have another opportunity to see it next January.

Variety reports that ABC unveiled its winter schedule for the start of 2024, which includes Season 1 of the comedy mystery series (which originally debuted on Hulu in 2021). Three episodes will air every Tuesday in January from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., starting with Episodes 1 through 3 on Jan. 2. The Season 1 finale will air as a standalone episode on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 9 p.m.

According to insiders, ABC has reportedly been working with the show’s producers on editing the episodes so they meet broadcast standards. Variety notes that these edits will likely be for curse words and foul language, not content.

Only Murders in the Building will air on Tuesdays after new episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy, which will also be moving to Tuesday evenings.

Only Murders in the Building has nabbed three Emmy Awards since it premiered in 2021. The comedy mystery series follows Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short, who play neighbors with a shared interest in true crime. But when tragedy strikes the Upper West Side building they all live in – and strikes again, and again – the trio find themselves in the midst of a killer.

The press release notes the series is Hulu’s most-viewed original comedy series ever.

But this isn’t the first series to make the cross-platform move to cable — amid the dual strikes that put much of Hollywood on hold this summer, CBS updated its 2023 fall schedule to include more programming from Paramount+ and the Paramount Network – including hit Peacock series Yellowstone, Blue Bloods and Ghosts.

ABC also broadcasted Ms. Marvel for the very first time since it debuted on Disney+ in 2022.

Hopefully, these cable re-runs will be enough to quell fans as they wait for Season 4.
