While Jenna Bush Hager typically likes to keep things lighthearted on Today With Jenna & Friends, guest host Olivia Munn could not hold back from sharing how she really felt about the all-female space trip Katy Perry or Gayle King will soon embark on.

The actress railed against the “gluttonous” trip, pointing out that it seemed like a waste of “resources” that wouldn’t benefit anyone here on Earth. Though she did not specifically take aim at the women on the Blue Origin crew flying with Jeff Bezo’s company, Munn made it clear that she was not impressed by their decision to take the highly publicized trip.

“What are they doing? Like, why?” Munn asked. “I know this is probably not the cool thing to say but there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now… What are you guys gonna do up in space?”

Bush Hager told Munn, “They’re going for 11 minutes. They’re going up, I think they’re gonna float around a little, and then come back.”

Munn joked that it sounded more like a ride on Walt Disney World’s Space Mountain rollercoaster. But she reiterated the pointlessness of the trip as she continued her rant.

“It’s so much money to go to space and there’s a lot of people who can’t even afford eggs,” she pointed out. She then began wagging her finger at the camera as she added, “Oh my god, if they bring eggs into space…”

Bush Hager cracked several jokes to keep the conversation lighthearted and steer them in a positive direction. But as Bush Hager teased the ladies for planning to do “full glam” makeup and hair for the trip, Munn asked, “Space exploration was meant to further our knowledge and to help mankind. What are they gonna do up there that has made it better for us down here?”

She later pointed out that this will require “a lot of resources,” prompting Bush Hager to fire back, “Yeah, and a lot of eyelash glue to nail that baby down.”

Munn later speculated if the Blue Origin crew will get stuck in space during the trip.

“If they get stuck up there like Armageddon style and they have got to like MacGyver it with their eyelash glue, then I’ll be excited,” she joked, adding, “And I’m not saying I hope they get stuck up there, but wouldn’t that be fun? Just for a little bit?”

The conversation was spicy enough for daytime television that Bush Hager later playfully begged Munn to not get her “canceled.

“Please don’t get me kicked off here,” she told Munn.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
