LSU athletics is on fire.
The Tigers’ women’s gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA Championship after finishing in the top spot at NCAA Semifinal I, Thursday afternoon at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas — and LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne showed off the celebrations on Instagram.

The 20-year-old junior, who competed on bars, was seen cheering with her teammates while LSU placed their Final Four sticker on the NCAA Championships scoreboard.
“RING SZN BABYYY,” Dunne wrote on her Instagram Story over a Tigers graphic that read: “Final four on the floor.”
Dunne — who is the NCAA’s highest-paid female athlete, earning seven figures — shared photos of herself competing on the mat, where she performed in a bedazzled purple leotard with a braided up-do’ hairstyle.
“The tigz live to see another day,” Dunne wrote, adding, “Great day to be a Tiger,” in another post.

Her mother, Katherine Dunne, also shared a video of her daughter swinging on the bars.

Dunne then shared a TikTok video that showed her dancing with joy and wrote: “Me after not landing on my head in front of 13,000 people.”
LSU finished on top in the semifinal with a team score of 197.475 to advance to Saturday’s championship — the program’s first NCAA Championship — at 4 p.m. ET at Dickies Arena.
LSU teammate Haleigh Bryant scored 39.6875 to post the highest total in the all-around.
It’s the second-highest score at NCAA Championships and the best in a semifinal in school history.

The Tigers will face Florida, Utah and Oklahoma.
The Sooners are the No. 1 team in the country, while LSU — ranked No. 6 — were the only team outside the top four in the nation to reach the Final Four.
The team’s departure to Texas for Nationals was waylaid Tuesday after their plane got stuck on a taxiway at the Baton Rouge Airport, according to WBRZ2.
The 2023 NCAA Gymnastics Championship will air live on ABC.
It comes after the LSU women’s basketball team defeated Iowa to win its first NCAA title in program history earlier this month.
