A missing teen girl who was found dead on a rural Oklahoma property along with six other people, including a convicted sex offender, was set to represent her town at a state beauty pageant this summer, her heartbroken father said.
Brittany Brewer’s father, Nathan, remembered the 16-year-old as an “outgoing person” in an interview Monday, shortly after her remains were discovered alongside those of her friend, 14-year-old Ivy Webster, near the town of Henryetta.
“She actually was selected to be Miss Henryetta at the [National American Miss pageant] in Tulsa. And now she ain’t gonna make it because she’s dead, she’s gone,” the dad told News On 6’s Kaitlyn Deggs.

At a Monday night vigil, the grieving father said that his daughter had hoped to be a teacher or a veterinarian.
“It’s just a parent’s worst nightmare, and I’m living it,” he said.
“I am just lost,” he added.
Brewer and Webster — who had been missing since Sunday night — were found dead near the body of Jesse McFadden, 39, a registered sex offender who was set to appear in court Monday on charges of soliciting child pornography.
Nathan told the outlet that his daughter spent the weekend with McFadden’s family several times in the past without incident.
McFadden’s trial on Monday stemmed from accusations that he sexted an underage girl with a contraband phone while he was in prison in 2017.
Police have not released further details about the killings, but a relative of four of the victims said that they were found shot to death in various locations on the property, which belonged to McFadden.
Janette Mayo, 59, said the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office informed her late Monday that the other four victims were her daughter, Holly Guess, 35, and her grandchildren, Rylee Elizabeth Allen, 17, Michael James Mayo, 15, and Tiffany Dore Guess, 13.
It’s unclear if Brewer, Webster and McFadden also died from gunshot wounds.
Henryetta Public Schools said in a statement that it is grieving over the loss of several of its students.
“Our hearts are hurting, and we have considered what would be best for our students in the coming days,” the note said, adding that mental health professionals and clergy would be available to students.
