An off-duty NYPD cop was shot in the leg during a road-rage fueled clash with a man who allegedly tried to grab his gun in Queens on Wednesday afternoon, cops and police sources said.

The officer, who works in the 81st Precinct in northern Brooklyn, was driving a green car at Queens Boulevard and 70th Street in Elmhurst around 12:50 p.m. when he got into a feud with the driver of a white minivan, according to the sources.

The other motorist smashed the cop’s rear window with an unknown object, the sources said.

The two men then grappled over the officer’s gun, and the cop was shot in the leg during the struggle, according to the sources.

It was not immediately clear whether the suspect fired the weapon or if it went off accidentally.

The officer was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Both the minivan driver and another man, a friend who was not in the car but who allegedly joined the melee, were taken into custody, the sources said.
