A former Obama campaign worker and her wife were killed in a horror car wreck in Southern California last week.

Peggy Moore, 60, and Hope Wood, 48, died Friday night when the Jeep pickup truck they were passengers in collided with a Chrysler sedan on Highway 76, near Fallbrook, NBC Bay Area reported.

The drivers of both vehicles were also killed, the outlet said.

The couple, who lived in the Bay Area, met while campaigning for Barack Obama in 2008, the report added.
