NYU Langone Health has announced plans to open a brand new ambulatory care facility in South Florida following a $75 million gift by the Julia Koch Family Foundation.

The West Palm Beach facility, set to open in 2026, will be the first new Florida location since 2017 for NYU Langone, which has received consistent recognition as one of the best hospital systems in the country.

The eight-story, state-of-the-art health facility, to be located at 324 Datura Street, will have space for 50 physicians and serve around 150,000 patients each year.

NYU Langone Health has announced it will open an eight-story state-of-the-art ambulatory care center in West Palm Beach following a $75 million gift from the Julia Koch Family Foundation.

It will offer 76,000 square feet of clinical space, including on-demand specialty care in a wide range of areas including internal medicine, primary care, oncology and pain management.

The opening of the facility is in part intended to serve the needs of the growing population of New Yorkers either moving to Florida or spending their winters in the Sunshine State.

“Since our arrival in 2017, demand continues to grow in Florida for the exceptional care our teams are already known for in New York,” said Robert I. Grossman, MD, CEO of NYU Langone and dean of NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Julia Koch Family Foundation, we will be able to offer even more patients one high standard of care in a beautiful new location where our teams can seamlessly coordinate between Florida and New York.”

The $75 million gift to build NYU Langone Health’s new ambulatory care center is one of the first grants made by the Julia Koch Family Foundation, which was established in 2023 to support transformative initiatives in healthcare, education, and the arts.

“My family and I have been impressed with NYU Langone’s transformation in the past two decades,” said Julia Koch. “Through its growing outpatient network, the institution continues to increase access to the best care, through groundbreaking research and cutting-edge medical education.”

Once opened, the new location will offer full-service radiology and imaging, two operating rooms for ambulatory surgery, two endoscopy suites, and eight physical therapy bays. Clinical services offered will run the gamut from bariatrics and cardiology to rheumatology and urology.

NYU Langone comprises six inpatient locations and more than 300 outpatient sites across the New York metro area and in Florida, all connected by a single electronic health record system, the NYU Langone Health app and the NYU Langone Health MyChart patient portal.
