An apparently emotionally disturbed man was shot and killed by police while he was holding his elderly mom at knife point in the Bronx, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The police-involved shooting occurred shortly before 11:20 a.m. Saturday inside an apartment on the 13th floor of 2865 Creston Ave, police and the sources said.
The disturbed man had been “off his meds,” on drugs and was hallucinating, according to his step-father, who called 911, the sources said.
He threatened to kill his family and himself, but was shot by responding officers, the sources said.
The man’s mother, along with his girlfriend, were both stabbed and suffered head injuries, sources said.
No police officers were injured. A knife was recovered at the scene, the sources said.
