A man driving a stolen car sparked a series of crashes while trying to flee cops in The Bronx — and the wild chase ended with him ramming into a semi-truck and the officers getting into an accident of their own, police said.

The chaotic pursuit began around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday when Yonkers police notified the NYPD that a 33-year-old man who had stolen a 2022 Volkswagen SUV had been tracked to The Bronx, authorities said.

Officers spotted the vehicle at Bergen and Brook avenues in Melrose and tried to stop it, but the motorist took off and police lost sight of him, cops said.

About 10 minutes later, the driver got into a collision with another motorist at East 143rd Street and Third Avenue, police said.

That driver was not injured.

The man in the stolen ride kept on driving, until he smashed into the side of a tractor on East 149th Street near Oak Point Avenue, a Coca Cola plant, police said.

He was critically injured and taken to Lincoln Medical Center, police said.

As officers were closing off the roads to take the driver to the hospital, an NYPD cruiser got into an accident as well, cops said.

The police car struck a 27-year-old man riding a “two-wheeled motorized vehicle” at East 138th Street and Brook Avenue, cops said.
