NYPD officers fatally shot an “emotionally disturbed” man who charged at them with two knives in Brooklyn early Sunday morning, cops said.
The officers were at a domestic violence call in the Bushwick neighborhood when the man tapped on their car window to get their attention, police said at a press conference.
After stepping out of the vehicle, the officers saw the 26-year-old wielding two knives, and after being unsuccessful with vocal commands, deployed their tasers.
Both officers fired their guns at the knife-weilding man, fatally striking him.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The officers were also brought to a hospital for examination.
“We try everything we can with emotionally disturbed people to deescalate,” NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell said Sunday.
