A woman spotted being carried into a minivan and whisked away on a Brooklyn street — sparking fears she was kidnapped — was not actually the victim of a crime, police said Monday.

The NYPD had released surveillance footage last week showing a man grabbing the supposed victim and carrying her into his arms to the waiting van at the intersection of Avenue W and Stillwell Avenue in Gravesend.

Cops began investigating after a witness called early Friday to report the disturbing sight. But the NYPD said Monday that its Major Case Squad was able to track down the man and woman and determined no crime was committed.

An NYPD spokesperson said the pair knew each other, but not what their exact relationship was.

Cops confirmed that the woman seen being carried into a minivan in Gravesend was not kidnapped.

The footage showed the man appearing to approach the woman with his arm pointed at her before grabbing her and whisking her into a late-model Toyota minivan.

It’s unclear exactly what was taking place, though cops said the woman was not kidnapped.

“Both parties were known to each other and it was deemed to have not been a crime,” the spokesperson said Monday.

Early in the investigation, a police source acknowledged that the victim “didn’t appear to be struggling like you would if it was a stranger.”
