A bat-wielding attacker was charged with attempted murder for bludgeoning another man during a fight over a dog in the Bronx, police and sources said Monday.
Rubin Bartley, 34, is accused of repeatedly striking the 35-year-old victim with the baseball bat at East 135th Street and Third Avenue in Mott Haven around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
The two men had been arguing over a dog when Bartley allegedly flew into a rage, police sources said — though further details about the spat were not immediately known.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition with trauma to his face and head, cops said.
Bartley, of East New York, was arrested at the site of the attack. He also faces an assault rap, police said.
His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Monday.
