Two young Bronx brothers who were shot and wounded after getting caught in the crosshairs of a brazen gunfight last week were released from the hospital and are now recovering at home.

The parents of the brave young boys, 6-year-old Dylan and 3-year-old Diego, were glad to have them back home in their Bronx apartment Sunday afternoon following stays in the hospital after the terrifying shooting last Tuesday.

Dylan, who was shot in the leg, was lying in a wheelchair with a cast on his right leg below his knee, while little brother Diego, who was grazed by a bullet, had a heavily-wrapped bandage around his right calf when visited by The Post Sunday.

The boys’ little sister was with them and their mom at the time of the shooting but was thankfully not injured.

The resilient older brother sported a smile despite a long recovery ahead.

The boys’ father said their third child, a 1-year-old girl, was nearly struck as well. He pointed to a mark on her stroller — which she was being pushed in when the gunfire rang out — that he said was left by a bullet.

The two boys were shot and wounded when a gunman lept off a scooter driven by an accomplice and sprayed bullets into St. James Park in the Bronx Tuesday evening, according to police.

The brothers were innocent bystanders.

Their mother, Norma Solis, told The Post last week she was running errands with her kids when her older son hit the ground as they were crossing the street.

She recounted looking down and seeing Dylan “on the ground, bleeding,” adding she didn’t immediately realize her other younger son was also hit.

Cops rushed Dylan, whose injuries were more severe, in a squad car instead of waiting for EMS. He later underwent surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

“As a dad and a parent in the city, I couldn’t imagine this happening to my kids,” Chief of Patrol John Chell said at a press conference following the shooting. “Absolutely heart-wrenching and disturbing.”

Two additional victims, a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old man – believed to be the intended target, according to sources – were also shot and wounded.

Authorities are investigating the shooting.

Authorities have yet to announce an arrest in the case, but blasted out images of the suspected shooter in hopes of locating the alleged gunman.

The boys’ mom said she now fears for her safety.

“To tell you the truth I have to go out to get some medication and I don’t feel safe,” Solis told a Post reporter last week.
