This Nuggets-Timberwolves series has been all over the place.
The road team has won four of six games.
No game has been within seven points.
Three of them have been decided by 25 or more points.
But one thing has stayed constant: Jamal Murray is struggling.
Murray is averaging just 15.7 points while shooting an abysmal 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 38.2 percent overall against Minnesota’s fierce lineup of perimeter defenders.
Despite two game-winning shots in Round 1, Murray’s struggles pre-date the semifinals.
In the Nuggets’ opening series against the Lakers, Murray shot just 40 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from 3.
Murray was much more high-volume in that series though, propping up his 23.6 scoring average with 24 shots a game.

It might just be that Murray isn’t healthy enough to serve as the Robin to Nikola Jokic’s Batman.
In Game 4 against the Lakers, Murray suffered a calf injury that nearly caused him to miss Game 5 of that series.
Then, early in Thursday’s Game 6 blowout loss to the Wolves, Murray collided with Rudy Gobert, suffering an elbow injury that could hamper him on Sunday.
He finished just 4-for-18 with 10 points, admitting after the game that his elbow kept him out of a rhythm.
“I hope, for our team’s sake,” Murray said. “I hope I can get it right.”
Whether it’s injuries or the Wolves’ league-best defense, Murray has taken a clear step back from where he was in the regular season when he averaged 21.2 points on 42.5 percent shooting from three and 48.1 percent shooting overall.
Through six games, Murray still hasn’t shown he’s either figured out the Wolves or healthy enough to do so, so I’m fading him once again.
The pick: Jamal Murray Under 19.5 points (-105, BetMGM) and 2.5 3-pointers (-150)
