Do you want to watch Jack Quaid get beat to a pulp while you’re safe and cozy on your couch at home? Then you’re in luck, because the 2025 Novocaine movie is coming to digital platforms to buy and rent tomorrow.
Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, with a screenplay written by Lars Jacobson, Novocaine stars Jack Quaid (aka the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan) as a man named Nate Cain. Nate was born with a peculiar medical condition that prevents him from feeling any pain. One day, Nate hits it off with the girl of his dreams, Sherry (played by Prey star Amber Midthunder), only to witness her get kidnapped by a crew of bank robbers. Nate decides to take advantage of his condition in order to rescue his love interest himself.
Also starring Ray Nicholson, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, and Matt Walsh, Novocaine earned over $32 million at the worldwide box office, and now Paramount Pictures hopes to earn even more money with the premium video-on-demand release. But before you fork over $25 to watch Novocaine at home, you should know that the 2025 Novocaine movie will be streaming free on Paramount Plus in the near future.
Beginning on Tuesday, April 8 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also April 7 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) Novocaine will be available to buy digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie costs $24.99 to buy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after you hit “play.”
Novocaine is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Novocaine streaming on Paramount+ soon, because it is a Paramount movie.
The Novocaine Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Novocaine streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another recent Paramount film, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, was released in theaters on December 20; released on digital platforms one month after opening in theaters, on January 21; and began streaming on Paramount+ about two months after opening in theaters, on February 18.
If Novocaine follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie streaming on Paramount+ around mid-May 2025.
But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Novocaine right away, you can buy or rent the film online.
