NextImg:Norwegian Cruise Line passenger claims she was sexually assaulted by security guard

A passenger on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship has filed a lawsuit alleging a “large security guard” sexually assaulted her during a birthday trip.

The California woman — identified in court papers obtained by The Post as Jane Doe — said she was celebrating her 33rd birthday in the Summer Cruise Fest aboard the Norwegian Sky in 2023.

She attended a performance by Young Jeezy and then went to a Hip-Hop Comedy Show about 9:30 p.m. July 3. The woman admits drinking throughout the day on a nearly empty stomach, the lawsuit states.

When she headed back to her cabin, the woman “was approached by a large security guard, John Roe, who asked if she needed help to get to her room,” according to the filing.

She claims she told Roe — who was employed by Almighty Protection Services – that she was drunk and lost, upon which he took her to another cabin where he touched her body.

The woman “tried to get away from John Roe but John Roe used his size and strength” to stop her from leaving, the lawsuit states.

Roe allegedly “forced a kiss” on the passenger, forced her to her knees and placed his penis into her mouth.

After the incident, the woman crossed paths with another guard, who led her to her cabin.

The following day, according to the lawsuit, she spoke with the authorities on board the ship, Norwegian Sky, and filed a complaint for sexual assault. When the ship returned to Miami, she called the cops.

The woman said she later went to Highland Hospital in Oakland, California, and underwent an examination.

The lawsuit states she “has been in psychological counseling and therapy for depression and anxiety resulting from the abuse she suffered” adding she “continues to suffer from acute panic attacks and anxiety and deep depression from the assault.”

Almighty Protection Services, which is sub-contracted by the NCL, knew about the incident by July 5 but took no action, according to the lawsuit, which was filed in Florida federal court on Oct. 31.

Also named in the negligence lawsuit is Khaled Mohammed Khaled, the rapper known as DJ Khaled, 48, who is listed as the promoter who “advertised a fun and entertaining” time on the cruise.

His lawyers have filed multiple motions to dismiss the case against him “because it fails to state any plausible claims against Mr. Khaled and improperly commingles claims and causes of action,” Fox News reported, citing a court filing.

NCL lawyers also have filed a motion to dismiss the case, calling the allegations a “shotgun pleading” — meaning they are vague, conclusory or immaterial to a specific accusation, according to the outlet.

The woman is seeking a jury trial for $75,000 in monetary damages as well as punitive damages for the defendants’ alleged “willful, wanton, oppressive, malicious, and/or grossly negligent conduct.”

Reps for the cruise line, Almighty Protection Services and DJ Khaled did not immediately respond to requests for comment by The Post.
