Nikola Jokić traded in his horses in Serbia for champagne in Vegas on Thursday night.
The Denver Nuggets jetted straight to Las Vegas after their championship parade, and it seems Jokić is happy that he stuck around for the celebrations — despite his initial hesitation.
The two-time league MVP was seen dancing in the DJ booth at Tao Group Hospitality’s Hakkasan nightclub at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.
Jokić, 28, and teammates –– including Jamal Murray, Michael Porter, Bruce Brown, Aaron Gorden, DeAndre Jordan, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope –– reportedly dined at the Hakkasan restaurant before hitting the VIP tables on stage.
DJs Pauly D and Justin Credible were spinning the tracks while the Nuggets celebrated their first NBA title in franchise history with a 3-liter bottle of Perrier Jouet Brut Champagne.
For a guy that said he needed to “go home” following Denver’s 4-1 series win over the Miami Heat, Jokić is now enjoying the luxuries of being a champion.
“The Joker” displayed his off-court moves, dancing and singing in the strobe lights.
Vegas has seen a lot of championship teams this week.
The NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights clinched their first-ever Stanley Cup on Tuesday and partied at Omnia nightclub –– another branch of Tao Group Hospitality.
Before his night at Hakkasan, Jokić let the nearly 750,000 fans in Denver know that he made a mistake saying he wasn’t excited for the parade.
“You know I told that I didn’t want to stay for Parade,” Jokić said at the podium. “But I f-king want to stay for parade. This is the best day of my f-ing life. This is amazing.”
“We’re all going to remember this our whole lives, and when we see you guys that came out on the streets, this one is for you. We love you Denver, this one is for you,” Jokić added.
Jokić surely made it a night to remember in Vegas and no doubt earned his fun.
The unanimously named Finals MVP averaged 30.2 points, 14 rebounds and 7.2 assists through the five game series.
