Nicki Minaj’s neighbors are banding together to try and get the rap superstar and her convicted felon husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, out of their ritzy community.
Hundreds who reside in Hidden Hills, Calif., where members of the Kardashian-Jenner family also live, have signed a Change.org petition to express their concerns over Petty’s status as a registered sex offender.
The plea began circulating online back in December 2022 after the “Super Bass” artist, 40, reportedly purchased a $19.5 million estate in the upscale neighborhood.
However, more than 500 people signed the petition just this past week after Petty filed legal documents to update his address on the Megan’s Law website, according to TMZ.
The federal law requires authorities to make information regarding registered sex offenders available “so that members of the public can better protect themselves and their families,” per a government website.
Hidden Hills is home to a number of high-profile celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Simpson and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.
The petition, which was created by resident Beverly Bardan, claimed the couple’s presence in the neighborhood would raise safety concerns and lower the value of the area.

“We, the residents of Hidden Hills, must put our resident’s safety first. Don’t wait to receive a letter from the government saying a predator has moved in near you,” the concerned neighbor wrote.
“DO NOT allow this dangerous sex offender to live near you, SHOW that you are against sex offenders in our Hidden Hills neighborhood!”
Reps for Minaj did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Petty, 45, is currently serving one year in home detention after failing to register as a sex offender in California. He was also sentenced in July 2022 to three years probation for the federal charge.
Years before his romance with Minaj, the music industry professional was convicted in New York for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995. He was required by law to register as a sex offender in that state.
Petty then moved to California in October 2019 after marrying Minaj. The pair welcomed their son — nicknamed Papa Bear — in September 2020.
The “Chun Li” rapper has stood by her husband amid his legal troubles and defended him on numerous occasions.
She addressed the sexual abuse claims via Instagram in December 2018, following backlash to their relationship.
Minaj wrote at the time, “He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship. But go awf, internet, y’all can’t run my life. y’all can’t even run y’all own life.”
