Nick Kyrgios is speaking out on his split from longtime girlfriend Costeen Hatzi.

When taking part in a fan Q&A on Instagram this week, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist — whose breakup with the influencer was confirmed this spring after much speculation — was asked by a fan, “Will you ever talk on the split with C or keeping it private?”

“Things happen. I wish her nothing but the best,” Kyrgios said, according to News.com.au. “So many incredible memories that will stay with me.”

First linked in 2021, Hatzi traveled the globe with Kyrgios as he competed at various tournaments, including the men’s final at Wimbledon in 2022, when he fell to Novak Djokovic in four sets.

Kyrgios, once ranked as high as No. 13 in the world, has been hampered by injuries in recent years and forced to withdraw from Grand Slams.

He last played at the Miami Open in March, losing to Karen Khachanov in the Round of 64.

A month later, Kyrgios, 30, found himself at the center of breakup buzz after he and Hatzi removed each other’s initials from their Instagram bios.

News.com.au reported at the time that Kyrgios had also been scrubbed from Hatzi’s page.

Hatzi addressed the split in April, telling The Daily Telegraph how things have “been good” after she and Kyrgios parted ways.

“I’m grateful to have this life and hopefully keep on going,” she told the outlet. “I think it’s always important to put yourself first and do what makes you happy.”

It’s been a rocky few months for Kyrgios, with The Telegraph reporting this week that the Australian pro will not return for the BBC’s Wimbledon coverage after appearing on the network last year.

BBC’s decision to team up with Kyrgios sparked controversy after he pleaded guilty to assaulting an ex-girlfriend.

Wimbledon begins June 30 and concludes July 13.
