The injury bug has taken another bite out of the 49ers’ roster.
Star defensive end Nick Bosa is done for the season after suffering a torn ACL in Sunday’s 16-15 home win over the Cardinals, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday.
The injury is described as a “clean tear,” and Bosa “will now need season-ending surgery,” according to the report.
Bosa suffered the injury in the first half of Sunday’s game.
The 49ers have been plagued by other injuries to start the year, as quarterback Brock Purdy has been sidelined since Week 2 with shoulder and toe injuries.

Tight end George Kittle is on short-term IR with a hamstring injury that took him out of the 49ers’ Week 1 win over the Seahawks.
The 49ers host the Jaguars (2-1) in Week 4.
