NextImg:NFL Week 4 picks, odds: Eagles vs. Buccaneers, Ravens vs. Chiefs

Post sports gambling editor/producer and digital sports editor Matt Ehalt is back for his second season in the NFL Bettor’s Guide.

We love getting the hook here in the battle of NFC undefeated teams.

Tampa Bay has oddly been a thorn in the Eagles’ side during their Jalen Hurts era, winning four of five.

The Eagles are also 1-3 with Hurts under center when visiting the Buccaneers, including two blowout losses in the most recent games.

Tampa Bay actually handed the Eagles their last loss, a 33-16 beatdown nearly one year ago on Sept. 29.

The Buccaneers won’t have star receiver Mike Evans for the next few weeks, which hurts this bet, but fellow receiver Chris Godwin may make his season debut.

We’re willing to bet on Philadelphia playing offensively more like it did for the first 10 quarters of the season last Sunday rather than the juggernaut it functioned like in the second-half rally against the Rams.

Those factors allow this game to be a tight one in the South Florida heat.

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry works out prior to a game.

We survived picking the Eagles to cover at Arrowhead earlier this year, and we’re going to bet against Patrick Mahomes at home again.

The Chiefs, at this moment, are not a good football team.

Last Sunday’s win spoke more to how bad the Giants are and Russell Wilson’s struggles than anything Kansas City did.

The Chiefs’ offense is still a disaster, their running game is not good, and there are not enough playmakers across the field.

The Ravens, while surprisingly 1-2, have lost two tough ones to the Lions and Bills, and should be quite motivated after the Detroit game — particularly Derrick Henry.

Baltimore looks like the better team and is catching Kansas City at the right point in the season.
