New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara reached a plea agreement with Las Vegas prosecutors over a fight that occurred at the Cromwell Hotel and Casino in February 2022, court records showed on Tuesday.
Kamara, 27, agreed to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace and agreed to serve 30 hours of community service, pay a $500 fine and pay the alleged victim $105,000 for medical expenses, court documents reported by KLAS showed.
He remains subject to potential discipline by the NFL, which said in a statement it has “been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review.”
The running back will have 90 days to complete the conditions of the deal and a status check will take place on Oct. 12 to make sure they have been met.
Kamara had originally been facing charges of felony battery and misdemeanor conspiracy to commit battery before the agreement.
The deal still needs to be signed off by a judge, which is expected to come at a hearing later this month, TMZ reported.

“Alvin is pleased that this matter is behind him and looks forward to a successful NFL season,” Kamara’s lawyer David Chesnoff said in a statement to ESPN.
Kamara had been involved in a fight outside the Vegas nightclub In February 2022 where it was alleged that the running back and three other men beat alleged victim Darnell Greene Jr. and then stomped on him while he was unconscious.
The incident allegedly occurred on Feb. 6, 2022, on the eve of the Pro Bowl and Kamara was taken into custody after he played in the game.

Kamara and the three other men were indicted by a grand jury on Feb. 16, 2022.
Greene had also filed a $10 million civil suit against Kamara, but the two sides came to a settlement Greene’s lawyer announced in a post on Instagram.
As part of the settlement Greene’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, said it also included a public apology from Kamara.

“Please accept my sincere apologies for the events of February 5, 2022 in Las Vegas,” the apology read.
“I am happy that we were able to get on the other side of this unfortunate incident, and I wish you the best for the future.”
Kamara played in 15 games during the 2022 season — starting in 13 — while rushing for 897 yards and two touchdowns.
He has played all six seasons of his career with the Saints and had been selected for the Pro Bowl in five of them.
