NextImg:NFL PrizePicks predictions, player picks for Week 2: Trevor Lawrence, Calvin Ridley

We started out on a positive note in Week 1 of the NFL season, going 3-for-4 in the picks.

We’ll look to keep that momentum heading into Week 2.

We have an interesting schedule on tap this week, as there are 12 games on the main slate, one game on Sunday night, and two games on Monday night.

If you see a projection that you like on a player, don’t hesitate to lock in that number early.

PrizePicks is always adjusting the numbers based on the picks of users and injury news.

While the Jaguars didn’t exactly come out firing against the Colts in Week 1, they were able to pick up a win on the road. They now head back to Jacksonville for their home opener against the Chiefs.

Jacksonville faced Kansas City twice last season and in those games, Lawrence threw for 217 yards and 259 yards.

I would argue that he’s a better quarterback now and that he has more firepower on offense thanks to the addition of Calvin Ridley.

The Jaguars will have to score points in order to keep up with the Chiefs and it’s worth noting that Kansas City had the fourth-lowest coverage grade in Week 1 (PFF).

It’s never a bad idea to build some correlation into your picks on PrizePicks and that’s exactly what I am doing with the Jaguars this week.

As noted above, the Chiefs do not have a great secondary and teams are often forced to air it out against them given the fact that they need to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City’s offense.

Ridley racked up over 100 yards and a touchdown in his first game with the Jaguars and is the clear alpha receiver in this offense.

He should continue to flourish in Week 2, especially if the Jaguars are playing from behind.

Who doesn’t love a good kicker projection?

Kidding aside, this is actually one of my favorite picks of the week.

The Chargers have had a lot of issues with their kickers over the years, but have finally found a reliable one in Dicker.

Yes, Dicker the kicker. He made both field goal attempts in Week 1 and was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points.

More importantly, this week’s matchup sets up very well for the Chargers.

The Titans are very tough against the run, yet have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL.

The Chargers should be able to move the ball at will, but could have trouble in the red-zone if they aren’t able to run the ball effectively.

White underwhelmed in a friendly Week 1 matchup against the Vikings, but the underlying usage was encouraging. For the time being, it looks like he’s the clear RB1 in Tampa.

He finished the game with 19 touches and ran a route on 53% of Baker Mayfield’s dropbacks.

This week he draws a home matchup against the Bears, who gave up 185 total yards and two touchdowns to Green Bay’s running backs in Week 1.
