The NFL doesn’t want another Big Dom incident.

The league sent a pointed memo to all 32 teams after Dom DiSandro, the Eagles head of security, was involved in a sideline altercation Sunday with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in Philadelphia.

“(NFL policies) clearly prohibit non-player personnel — coaches, trainers, equipment staff, security staff, or others — from making physical contact with, taunting, or directing abusive or insulting language toward opposing players, game officials, or others involved in a game,” the memo read.

“If an altercation occurs, club personnel are to allow the coaches and game officials to manage the situation, with the officials assessing appropriate penalties… Under no circumstances are club personnel to engage with or make physical contact with another club’s player(s) or other personnel.”

The league also said it will “diligently enforce these rules and assess accountability measures on both individuals and clubs as appropriate. In addition to ejection, these may include fines and/or suspensions without pay.”

DiSandro, who is also a senior advisor to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, put his hands on Greenlaw after the 49ers linebacker was given an unnecessary roughness penalty for an out-of-bounds hit on Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith in the third quarter.

Greenlaw took a swing at DiSandro and made contact with his face, and both men were ejected from the game.

A “high-level executive” with a different NFL team predicted to ProFootballTalk that the NFL will levy “significant punishment” upon DiSandro and the Eagles, who lost to the Niners, 42-19.

The Athletic reported Wednesday that DiSandro and Greenlaw made amends through intermediaries, including 49ers GM John Lynch.

“He seemed like a genuine guy,” Greenlaw told reporters Wednesday, according to The Athletic. “He seemed like a guy everyone loved in the building. So, I hate that it even escalated and went to that.”

DiSandro, a Philly native, is in his 25th year with the Eagles.
