The 49ers prevented this gold rush for one unlucky bettor.
A 13-leg NFL parlay worth a potential $96,000 fell one win short when the 49ers lost at home to the Bengals, 31-17.
The bettor placed $100 with +96500 odds at FanDuel on this massive parlay that featured all 13 games in the 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. windows Sunday.
The parlay seemingly included 11 moneyline bets, one alternative spread bet for the Jets-Giants game and one undisclosed bet for the Patriots-Dolphins game.
Some of the moneyline bets included heavy favorites such as the Eagles at -320 odds, the Cowboys at -310 odds and the Ravens at -490 odds.
This bet gained its value in this bettor correctly predicting the Broncos upsetting the reigning champion Chiefs with +280 odds, the Panthers upsetting the Texans with +152 odds and the Titans emerging victorious as slight +116 underdogs against the Falcons.
The 49ers had -198 odds to beat the Bengals at home, but couldn’t slow down Cincinnati’s offense in their third straight defeat.
The Bengals never trailed in the game while amassing 400 total yards of offense, including 134 yards on the ground.
Joe Burrow tossed three touchdown passes and zero interceptions, and star receiver Ja’Marr Chase tallied 10 catches for 100 yards and one score.
Joe Mixon added 16 rushes for 87 yards and one touchdown.
The 49ers only trailed 17-10 entering the fourth quarter, but Brock Purdy threw one of his two interceptions on the day to give the Bengals prime field position.
Burrow found Chase for a 17-yard touchdown on the next play to grab a two-score lead.
The 49ers responded with another touchdown, but the Bengals marched down the field with a 10-play, 78-yard drive that took up 5:18 to all but seal the game.
San Francisco will have its upcoming bye week to try to recover and get on track, but that will be of no assistance to this unfortunate bettor.
